WHAT IS YOUR CONNECTION TO ADHD & RECOVERY COACHING?
I am familiar with these issues both professionally in both my training and practice as a Certified ADHD & Recovery Coach, as well as personally. Having successfully navigated and learned to manage these challenges myself after many years of struggle, my approach is passion-filled and comes from a place of commitment to offer hope, possibility and, ultimately, radical change for you as a client. Being able to offer my services to clients who have similar challenges is a pleasure and a privilege.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurological condition that severely impairs the executive functions. These are responsible for one’s ability to plan, prioritize, organize, understand time awareness and time management, make decisions, execute follow-through, and self-regulate. These functions, along with working (short-term) memory are severely impaired by ADHD. Dealing with symptoms of mental health issues (e.g., bipolar disorder I or II, depression, anxiety, trauma), the consequences and fallout of addictions, as well as the process of creating healthier habits in recovery and navigating issues around identity can cause stress. Sometimes these create results that often make responsibilities related to relationships, education, work and daily life particularly difficult and complex. If you or a loved one are struggling, I am here to help!

WHAT IS ADHD and RECOVERY COACHING?
The primary focus of coaching is to discover and clarify what you want to create for yourself and our work together is that creation process. In my experience as a coach, whether you are in need of support with your recovery from an addiction or other compulsive behavior in addition to your ADHD challenges, or you need help with ADHD issues alone, I believe that every neurodivergent person is in a recovery process from the trauma and challenges of living in a neurotypical world.
If you are someone who may be entering or are currently residing in a residential treatment environment or utilizing outpatient services with a treatment center I can meet with you before, during and after these services. The continuity that my services provide can make a life-changing impact on your progress and success in your recovery process. All services include sensory-based strategies and sessions are tailored to your specific needs and goals for yourself.
IS COACHING LIKE THERAPY?
Coaching is different from, and never a substitute for, psychotherapy. Coaching sessions focus primarily on evaluating where you are in the present so you can take action now and in the future. However, awareness about habits, patterns and limiting narratives originating from past experiences that may be impairing you can frequently be clarified to achieve your vision. I can collaborate with your treatment team upon request to better support you and your recovery process. The strategies/tools that you and I co-create together and the resources that I can offer will support you with your vision and goals.
